CyberRisk Alliance and ICIT Join Forces to Strengthen National Cybersecurity Education and Collaboration

Securing critical infrastructure is not just a public-sector challenge; it requires a unified effort across both private and public sectors. In service of that effort, CyberRisk Alliance (CRA) is proud to announce a strategic partnership with the Institute for Critical Infrastructure Technology (ICIT), a leading nonprofit, nonpartisan, 501(c)3 think tank with the mission of modernizing, securing, and making resilient critical infrastructure that provides for people’s foundational needs. This partnership aims to reinforce the essential public-private partnership that is needed in order to safeguard our nation's most critical assets.

Why This Partnership Matters Now

Cybersecurity has become a central concern for national security, with threats targeting not only businesses but also vital infrastructure that supports our daily lives—such as energy, transportation, and healthcare. From ransomware attacks to sophisticated nation-state threats, the risks are evolving rapidly just as they are in the private sector.

For years, both current and past administrations have emphasized a "whole of nation" approach to cybersecurity, calling for closer collaboration between government agencies and the private sector. This partnership between CRA and ICIT is a direct response to that call, providing a new channel to enhance public sector education while leveraging the private sector’s expertise to strengthen national resilience.

Amplifying ICIT’s Mission Through CRA’s Digital Platforms

As part of the collaboration, CRA will use its extensive network of digital solutions, communities, and media platforms to help ICIT’s research reach a broader audience. CRA’s SC Media, a trusted source of cybersecurity news, analysis, and insight, will now feature ICIT’s critical infrastructure research, providing an essential resource for industry leaders and policymakers alike.

This partnership also means more frequent opportunities for ICIT’s experts to share their knowledge through live and digital events hosted by CRA. Expect thought-provoking discussions and actionable insights from ICIT leaders on everything from emerging threats to policy developments that are reshaping how we think about cybersecurity in critical infrastructure sectors.

A Resource for the CyberRisk Collaborative Community

At the heart of this partnership is also a commitment to enriching CRA’s CyberRisk Collaborative community—a network of cybersecurity professionals and experts committed to sharing knowledge and tackling the latest challenges. Through the collaboration, CyberRisk Collaborative members will have exclusive access to ICIT’s in-depth research and the opportunity to participate in ICIT member-only events.

By bringing ICIT’s subject matter expertise into the fold, CRA is ensuring that its community has access to the latest intelligence on critical infrastructure security and policy. Whether you're a practitioner in the public sector or a private enterprise, this collaboration offers valuable insights that can help you stay ahead in an ever-changing threat landscape.

Expanding Access to Insights Across CRA’s Ecosystem

It’s not just CyberRisk Collaborative members who stand to benefit. CRA’s larger ecosystem—including its Connect, Events, and Communities platforms—will also have access to ICIT’s insights and educational resources. This means a wider audience of cybersecurity professionals, government officials, and private-sector leaders will be better equipped with the knowledge they need to defend against critical infrastructure threats.

A Path Forward in Public-Private Cybersecurity Collaboration

Ultimately, this partnership exemplifies the power of public-private collaboration in cybersecurity. By pooling resources, expertise, and platforms, CRA and ICIT are taking a significant step in enhancing national cybersecurity preparedness. The sharing of research, educational efforts, and live event engagement will provide a richer, more informed dialogue around protecting the country’s most critical assets.

Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting partnership, including upcoming events, expert insights, and new research available across CRA’s platforms.
